Fabric Quality: The Foundation

Every product starts with fabric. If the fabric is wrong, nothing downstream can fix it. We evaluate every fabric on four criteria before it enters production:

Weight and hand. The fabric must meet the specified weight, drape, and texture. We test this against your approved sample. No substitutions.
Color consistency. Color is checked under multiple light sources. Dye lot variations are identified before cutting, not after assembly.
Dimensional stability. The fabric is tested for shrinkage, stretching, and distortion. A fabric that moves after cutting creates a garment that does not fit.
Performance characteristics. Stretch, recovery, breathability, abrasion resistance. Every fabric is tested against the requirements of the garment it will become.

Pattern and Fit Standards

A pattern is not just a template. It is the engineering blueprint of the garment. Our pattern makers follow these standards:

Grade rules. Every size in the range is graded proportionally. No shortcuts on intermediate sizes.
Seam allowances. Consistent across all pieces. Not approximate. Measured.
Fit validation. Every pattern is tested on a fit sample before production. Adjustments are made before cutting, not after assembly.
Pattern archiving. Every pattern version is archived with revision notes. You can trace any change back to the person who made it and the reason why.

Construction Standards

Construction is where quality becomes visible. The customer may not know the name of a French seam, but they feel the difference. Our construction standards include:

Seam selection by fabric weight. Lightweight fabrics get French seams. Heavy fabrics get flat-felled seams. Knits get appropriate stretch stitches. The seam matches the fabric, not the factory default.
Stitch density. Stitches per inch are specified per fabric type. Too few and the seam is weak. Too many and the fabric tears.
Thread quality. Bonded polyester for strength. Color-matched to fabric. No generic thread.
Finishing. Hems are blind-stitched where specified. Edges are bound where specified. Lining is hand-set where specified. No visible machine stitching where handwork is called for.

Inspection Standards

Every garment is inspected before it ships. Not a random sample. Every piece. Our inspection covers:

Visual inspection. Seams, hems, closures, labels. Checked against the approved sample.
Measurement verification. Key measurements checked against spec. Chest, waist, length, sleeve, inseam. Every garment.
Functional testing. Zippers, buttons, snaps, hooks. Tested for operation and security.
Cleanliness. No thread tails. No fabric marks. No loose threads. No oil spots. The garment arrives ready to wear or ready to sell.

Quality is not what you inspect at the end. It is what you build into every step. The final inspection is confirmation, not creation.

Documentation and Traceability

Every production run is documented. Every decision is recorded. If a question arises about a garment six months after delivery, we can trace it back to the fabric lot, the cutting team, the sewing team, and the inspector. This is not bureaucracy. It is accountability.

Production records. Each garment is tracked from fabric to finish. The team that cut it, sewed it, and inspected it is recorded.
Fabric lot tracking. The fabric lot used in your production is recorded. If a fabric issue arises, we can identify the specific lot and check other garments from the same lot.
Revision history. Every pattern change, every sample adjustment, every spec update is logged with date, person, and reason.
